If you feel you are indigent and would qualify for
services of the Knox County Public Defender. Take the following
information and papers to the Public Defender, One Public Square, (take
the stairs on the North side of the Auto Club, first door to the right at
the top of the stairs, follow sign at the top of the inside stairs):

Copy of all the charges against you

Dates of trial or any hearing scheduled for you.
YOU MUST SEE THE PUBLIC DEFENDER AT LEAST 10 DAYS BEFORE YOUR TRIAL
DATE.

Social Security Number
-
Registration numbers of any and all vehicles owned by
you
IF YOU ARE PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED AND ARE UNABLE TO CLIMB
STAIRS, PLEASE NOTIFY THE BAILIFF OR CALL 393-6734 AND ARRANGEMENTS WILL
BE MADE TO TAKE YOUR APPLICATION.
IF YOU ARE IN JAIL, PLEASE TELL THE JAILER THAT YOU WISH
TO SPEAK WITH THE PUBLIC DEFENDER. |
